Winner of two Institute of Training awards, this short film produced for HSBC staff to raise awareness of critical life experiences where a more empathetic approach to customers is needed. Mixing real stories with advice from experts, the film raised awareness of what people go through when faced with issues such as bereavement, depression, cancer and redundancy. Because of the sensitivity of the subject matter and need for confidentiality we developed a creative approach in which carefully composed close ups and defocused images of participants combined with animated typography. Shot in HD & SD using my EX1 and a Digibeta.
